Tips for Australia: Cheap Flights finder

Australia is a big huuuuuge country. The distances are wider than you can even imagine. You take a look at the map and think of going from one place to another... and it's at 1.000 km!
The railway network of Oz is not bad, but the many companies that operate within are scattered around the territory. Plus, with such distances, to travel by train or bus is a little bit slow, you can lose many days travelling like this.

That's precisely why travelling by airplane is such a good option in Australia. Many companies operate in the country, but there's one fantastic way to always get the best price: http://www.webjet.com.au/

That web service looks always for the best options and displays them in a comparative table to make your choice easier. From the big ones (Qantas) to the most popular low-cost companies (Virgin or Jetstar), but also with the regional ones, that offer the best deals when flying inside one state.

Tips for Australia: Earplugs, my best friends

Well, the thing is that Australia is a country full of noises. Most of them, I must say, are wonderful noises. Hundreds of extremely diverse birds sing every morning, owls do it when it's dark, possums too, etc. So, it's great to hear them for the first time, maybe a second time is still funny, but when you're exhausted after a three days tour to the outback, where you slept in swags, with spinifex mices jumping all over you all night long, you can believe me when I say that you need to sleep with no such (beautiful) interruptions.

Besides that, if you paln to sleep in a Youth Hostel (or even in an improvised camp with the tour you booked to see the Uluru, for instance), you may encounter people who snore like if their throats where a shortcut to hell, or others whose blood was substituted by 100% alcohol after a neverending party.
And, even more, if you come from a country where people doesn't use to wake up at 5:30 or 6:00, you'll find yourself trying to sleep when the city is already awaken and noisy.

That's why, the first tip I wanted to give you was to get yourself a good couple of earplugs. After all, if you don't sleep well, you won't enjoy your travel, that's for sure.
